Ilaria Pascucci

Professor, Lunar and Planetary Science

Focuses on understanding how planets form and evolve and how common planetary systems like our Solar system is.  Leads a group to carry out observations aimed at characterizing the physical and chemical evolution of gaseous dust disks around young stars (the birth sites of planets).  Additionally, she uses exoplanet surveys to reconstruct the intrinsic frequency of planets around mature stars. Determining likelihood and sites of Earth-like planets in other solar systems.
